The BendEase Hand Splint is one of Restorative Medical's flagship products. It is designed to address lost range of motion, enhance recovery, and provide secure support for the wrist, hand, fingers, and thumb.

To use the BendEase Hand Splint, apply it initially for 30 minutes, remove it, and check the skin for any redness or breakdown. If the skin integrity is compromised, discontinue use and contact your clinician. Otherwise, gradually increase wearing times to the duration recommended by your clinician, not exceeding 6 hours at a time.

The BendEase Hand Splint features several key benefits:

ADDRESSES LOST RANGE: The splint helps relieve pain in hands by extending from the arm to the end of the fingers, supporting the entire wrist, hand, fingers, and thumb. As the patient improves, the splint can be remolded for a better fit.

ENHANCED RECOVERY: The splint keeps flaccid, weak hands in functional alignment, preventing lost range and pain. The breathable fabric allows air flow and increases comfort.

FUNCTIONAL DESIGN: The splint allows healing and recovery after an injury, helping to alleviate pain and inflammation of the wrist, fingers, and thumb. The wrist can be molded in extension/hyperextension to address conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome.

The splint is designed to accommodate tightly adducted thumbs, unlike many other hand splints that may over-stretch the thumb. It is not a rigid, hard splint, which is typically not recommended for contracture patients, especially those with neurological conditions.

The splint's Flex Technology provides a supportive alternative to Dupuytren's Cream, molding to the exact shape of the hand for custom comfort and support. It can be remolded or adjusted as the patient's condition improves.

The breathable exterior fabric is durable enough for machine washing, and the padding can be laundered by hand or on a gentle cycle using mild soap, then line-dried. Chlorinated products, such as bleach, should not be used.
